Germinate - explore the possibilities

Want to run your own business or social enterprise? Germinate Enterprise is a programme,  run over two Saturdays,  that will help you think through what sort of business to set up (if you’re not sure yet) and investigate whether this idea is viable. It is particularly suitable for those thinking about about setting up a small business or social enterprise in a rural area. There is no obligation, and working with other people on the same journey will help you decide if this is right for you. The course is open to anyone wanting to (or may have recently done so) set up a small business or social enterprise including:-

  • Leisure, tourism or hospitality
  • Local foods
  • Internet based services
  • Farm diversification
  • Construction services
  • Social enterprise
  • Community business
  • Self-employment

Charismatic international social entrepreneur Jerry Marshal delivers this enjoyable and informative course which will build up a simple business plan from a series of exercises. It has been developed by experienced entrepreneurs and social entrepreneurs at the Arthur Rank Centre. A straightforward workbook, given to every participant, contains the material and includes a wealth of references for future information. MRE unlocking enterprise may be offer to help with further mentoring after the business has started to give it every chance of success.

The course will be held on Saturdays 21st & 28th March 2015, starting at 9.30am and aiming to end at 3.30pm at the Worcester Countryside Centre, Wildwood Drive, Worcester WR5 2LG.
